Day 2
Today you will arrive in Kathmandu. Welcome to Nepal! You will be picked up by a representative of the volunteer project and brought to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend in Kathmandu, for a first introduction to this city, or to recover from the flight. Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is known as a royal city. Together with Bhaktapur and Patan they form the three royal cities in the Kathmandu valley. The consequences of the earthquake in 2015 are still visible, but nevertheless Kathmandu remains a unique and special city. In the evening you will be picked up by the same representative for a welcome dinner.

You will be welcomed by loving families and have the unique opportunity to stay in a homestay. This is an amazing way to experience authentic Nepalese life and immerse in its culture. Do you opt for more luxury? Then you will be guided to your hotel. Upon arrival you will be informed about the culture, customs, traditions and beliefs of the Nepalese people by a local guide. The work you do together with the women of Nepal will strengthen their position. In the evening there are always activities to participate in.
